Job OpportunityWe are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position from 7 PM to 7 AM, scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week. The successful candidate will hold a current RN license in Maine or a compact license and must have all required certifications and immunizations.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform initial, age-appropriate nursing assessments and ongoing reassessments.Complete discharge assessments to identify patient needs.Establish and prioritize nursing care delivery based on patient needs and physician orders.Develop and implement personalized care plans.Execute nursing actions to achieve patient goals.Communicate patient care activities and updates to healthcare team members.Document all patient care activities per established standards and hospital policies.Maintain a safe and welcoming physical environment for patients and staff.Ensure supplies and equipment are readily available and in safe working order.Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and bedside rounding.Engage in quality improvement initiatives and support departmental projects.Participate in emergency management planning and respond effectively during emergencies.QualificationsValid RN license in Maine or compact state.BSN preferred.Current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred.Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to assess and provide care for patients of all age groups.Physical RequirementsThis position requires regular standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, and bending. The RN must also be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds and proficiently pushing patients in wheelchairs and stretchers. Exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials is possible, necessitating vigilance and safety protocols.Additional InformationCompletion of immunization requirements is essential, including varicella, Hepatitis B, MMR, Tdap, and PPD or titer within the last year.A flu shot is mandatory during flu season.Candidates must possess visual and auditory acuity sufficient to assess patients.Individuals are expected to exhibit professionalism and promote a positive image of the hospital and its staff.LocationCity, State
