Job Description
Registered Nurse - Outpatient Oncology

Schedule

Days, 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM (8-hour days); 40 hours can be offered.

Assignment Details

13 weeks contract length.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years RN experience.
• Outpatient oncology experience (required).
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted.
• NC or Compact nursing license pending acceptable for submission.
• Certifications: BLS and Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) required; OCN preferred.
• Charting system: EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Administer outpatient chemotherapy and manage oral chemotherapy.
• Recognize and communicate abnormal labs; manage chemotherapy side effects.
• Recognize and manage immunotherapy-related side effects.
• Perform IV/infusion skills including port access and care, and central line blood draws.
• Manage oncologic emergencies such as anaphylaxis, extravasation, hemorrhage, and sepsis.
• Provide supportive care and patient/family education.

Compliance / Notes

Candidate must complete pre-start testing within 48 hours after signing. Required pre-start modules must be completed prior to commencement. Up to 7 days of time-off may be auto-approved for a 13-week engagement; confirm RTO policy with recruiter before acceptance.
