Clayton Services is searching for an Industrial Electrician to join a thriving manufacturing company in the Humble, Texas area. The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment and systems throughout an industrial manufacturing facility.
Job Type: Direct HirePay Rate: $26.00–$32.00/hour, depending on experience
Benefits: Excellent benefits available upon hire.
Schedule: Fixed 2-2-3 schedule, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM or 6:00 PM–6:00 AM Industrial Electrician Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on industrial equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical failures and restore production equipment to service.
- Diagnose electrical faults involving critical plant equipment and systems.
- Perform repairs and improvements designed to increase equipment reliability and safety.
- Inspect electrical systems and identify potential hazards or equipment concerns.
- Support maintenance of plant electrical distribution equipment.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot backup power-generation equipment as required.
- Identify required electrical spare parts and replacement components.
- Complete and document maintenance work orders.
- Record repairs, failures, parts usage, and equipment history.
- Coordinate electrical maintenance activities with production and maintenance personnel.
- Apply proper LOTO and electrical-safety procedures.
- Perform maintenance activities in compliance with plant safety and operational requirements.
Industrial Electrician Skills and Abilities:
- Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective electrical maintenance.
- Understanding of industrial electrical systems and power distribution.
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of generators and backup-power systems preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety and LOTO procedures.
- Ability to work independently during equipment failures.
- CMMS or ERP maintenance-system experience preferred.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong safety mindset and communication skills.
- Ability to work a fixed day or night 12-hour schedule.
Industrial Electrician Education and Experience:
- Technical training in Industrial Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Electromechanical Technology, or a related discipline preferred.
- Hands-on industrial electrical maintenance experience required.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, metal-processing, or heavy industrial facility strongly preferred.
- Equivalent hands-on industrial electrical experience will be considered.
