Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Pediatrics position requiring PALS certification and a TX or compact RN license at a Level 1 Trauma pediatric facility.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric Surgery unit of a Trauma Level 1 pediatric facility
• Facility features 14 operating rooms plus 2 procedure rooms
• Perform both circulating and scrub nurse responsibilities
• Uses Cerner charting system
• 12-hour shifts scheduled 06:30-19:00
• Scheduled to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• 12-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Primary source license/certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Coordinate care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support efficient surgical workflows and clear communication
• Monitor patient status and document care accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Maintain sterile technique, prepare instruments, and assist surgeons during procedures
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule applies that may affect pay rate
