# Press Operator 1st & 2nd Shift

**Warren, Ohio**
**$15.00 per hour**
**$0.50 Monthly Increases**
**$10 Weekly Attendance Incentive** for working all scheduled shifts

### Available Shifts

**1st Shift:** MondayFriday, **6:00 AM2:30 PM**
Mandatory overtime as needed until **4:30 PM**

**2nd Shift:** MondayFriday, **4:30 PM3:00 AM**
Mandatory overtime as needed until **5:00 AM**

### Position Overview

Mancan Staffing is seeking dependable **Press Operators** for long-term manufacturing opportunities in the Warren, Ohio area.

Press Operators are responsible for operating and monitoring industrial press equipment used to produce metal components. This position requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

### Duties & Responsibilities

* Start, operate, and monitor press machines.
* Record production information and machine downtime.
* Read work orders and production schedules to determine job specifications.
* Operate punch and stamping equipment used to produce metal parts.
* Install, align, and secure punches, dies, and fixtures using gauges and hand tools.
* Position guides, stops, and holding blocks to properly secure workpieces.
* Verify hand controls, light curtains, and other machine safety devices are functioning correctly.
* Test and adjust machine speeds according to product specifications.
* Work with Press Helpers to maintain proper PPE, machine cleanliness, lubrication, and quality checks.
* Inspect parts and work with Quality Inspectors to ensure products meet required standards.
* Maintain a clean and safe work area.
* Follow all company safety and production procedures.
* Complete additional production duties as assigned.

### Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Previous **manufacturing, production, landscaping, agricultural, or construction experience** preferred.
* Previous press or machine operating experience is a plus but not required.
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
* Strong attention to quality and accuracy.
* Must be dependable and safety-conscious.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
* **Company training is provided.**

### Physical Requirements

Candidates must be comfortable with a physically demanding manufacturing position that includes:

* Standing and walking throughout the shift.
* Bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.
* Frequent use of hands and arms.
* Regularly lifting up to **25 lbs.**
* Frequently lifting up to **40 lbs.**
* Occasionally lifting up to **60 lbs.**
* Ability to meet the visual requirements necessary to inspect and safely produce parts.

### Work Environment

This position is performed in an industrial manufacturing facility. Employees should be comfortable working around **moving mechanical equipment, vibration, loud noise, and dirty, oily, or greasy materials**. The plant is an open, non-climate-controlled environment, so temperatures may vary depending on the season.
