Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse in Austin, Texas. This position involves providing high-quality pediatric critical care within a busy, Level 1 Trauma Center specializing in neurology, renal, pulmonary, surgical, and medical ICU cases. The role includes floating to various ICU areas as needed, supporting a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with a focus on patient safety and family-centered care.

Job Details:

• Location: Austin, TX
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). No minimum experience required, but candidates should have at least 2 years in pediatric intensive care or related specialty.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric critical care preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit operates with patient ratios of 1:1, and 1:2 during ICU status. Candidates must be adaptable to a high acuity, fast-paced ICU environment, and be comfortable floating across different pediatric ICU units as needed.
