Occupational Therapist Or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Embark on a rewarding short-term contract opportunity in Missouri, supporting students' growth and development across a collaborative school setting. This position is ideal for dedicated Occupational Therapists (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) passionate about working with diverse caseloads in a dynamic K-12 environment.

This assignment begins as soon as possible and carries a minimum commitment of one month, with the strong possibility of extension. You'll provide therapeutic interventions to 48 students distributed among five school buildings, with manageable caseloads at each location. For COTAs, appropriate OT supervision will be provided throughout the duration of the assignment.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Missouri license as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Experience delivering school-based OT services is highly valued
• Strong organizational skills for traveling between campus sites
• Ability to create effective, individualized treatment plans and collaborate with educational teams
• Open to working with varying age groups and needs within a school setting
• Comfortable maintaining documentation and communication with school staff and families

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, develop, and implement interventions tailored to student needs
• Serve students at five buildings, allocating services efficiently according to caseload demands
• Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and administrators
• Provide direct therapy, monitor progress, and adjust strategies to maximize student independence
• Supervise COTA work (if licensed OT); receive supervision if practicing as COTA
