Phlebotomist

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for a Springfield, Virginia patient service center to perform blood collections, process specimens, and provide customer service. Position offers opportunities for career growth within a leading diagnostic laboratory organization.

Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests and similar analyses
Enter patient information accurately and maintain specimen information logs
Prepare collected specimens for testing and handle billing collection
Provide superior customer service and perform administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training program
Minimum 3 months phlebotomy experience or equivalent certification
Proven exceptional customer service track record
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Reliable transportation; flexibility for overtime

Compensation: $17.75 - $26.00 per hour
