QA Engineer-Houston, TX

QA Engineer
Location: Houston, TX Rate: DOE $35/hr. on w2 only US Citizens and Green Cards, H4-EAD, GC-EAD, TN VISA Only.
Job Responsibilities:
- Experience in developing test plans, strategies & writing test cases (ADO or Jira preferably)
- Experience in creating detailed and actionable defects (ADO or Jira preferably)
- Experienced in testing web and Windows applications
- Automation:
- Desktop application automation using Appium with Java
- Experience with tools like Selenium, Junit, Appium, CodedUI, UI Automation, Soap API tool, Postman
- Performance testing with Jmeter or Blazemeter is a plus
- Knowledge of AWS and related services
- Strong verbal and written communications
- Proven analytical skills, root-cause analysis skills, problem-solving skills, decision-making skills.
- Hands on experience in performing all aspects of Quality assurance
- Thorough understanding of and experience in applying industry quality standards and methodologies to business situations.
- Highly accountable with strong sense of ownership
