West Texas Litter Worker

The Litter worker picks up and disposes of litter from roadways per contracts. The hours are Mon-Fri 630a-230p. The pay is $14.50 per hour. This is located at the Ward Co. SRA, located near Monahans, TX

Ensures all operational and safety procedures are properly followed, maintaining a clean and safe work area. Picks up and disposes of defined litter on the right-of-way. Assists supervisor in set-up and removal of traffic warning signs.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

The employee will be exposed to traffic. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee will be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day at multiple, able to reach with hands and arms, must frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Individual must be able to see and hear traffic.

No travel is expected for this position. The employee must pass a drug screen, strength test, and WSC background check.
