Maintenance Technician 2 1st ShiftFull-time Position Type: Permanent Shift: 1st ShiftJob DescriptionPay Rate: $24.00 - $27.00 per hourShift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM - Monday - Friday (Overtime as needed)Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Maintenance Technician II performs skilled work related to the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service and repair of mechanical, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and structural systems. They monitor machine performance, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot problems, and make necessary adjustments.Understands and follows all safety rules and precautions necessary for working with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical apparatusDeals with complex factors and makes decisions based on conclusions and findingsInstalls and repairs various electrical equipment, including generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units and conduit systems. Works with blueprints, drawings, layouts, verbal instructions and other specificationsUses different welding equipment (arc, acetylene, brazing, flame cutting) For layout and fitting, including making jigs and fixturesUtilizes electricians' hand tools and measuring/ testing equipmentDiagnoses and corrects trouble in electrical systems or equipment, applying standard computations related to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipmentPerforms visual and mechanical inspections to maintain machinery to, ensure the production of finished quality products according to order specificationsFollows preventive maintenance program as established by the company and conducts regular equipment inspections taking preventive action when necessaryPerforms minor and major repairs on buildingsNotifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating and ventilating equipmentProvides on-the-job direction to new maintenance mechanics and others assisting in maintenance workContributes to continuous improvement efforts in work areaMay be assigned additional projects or duties as designated by Team LeaderQualificationsHigh School Diploma or recognized equivalentMinimum of (1-3) one to three years related work experience in a maintenance mechanic function, or equivalent related experienceAbility to lift up to 30 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistFrequently exposed to work near moving mechanical partsAdditional InformationSite Address: 1125 S.
