Meat Cutter

Responsible for meat operation including but not limited to preparing, storing, cutting, cleaning, and serving meat.

Essential functions include monitoring food distribution, cleaning and sterilizing dishes and equipment, maintaining coolers and displays, observing scheduled shift hours, providing friendly and prompt service, maintaining good communication with the meat manager, sharing responsibility for controlling shrink, properly recording all hours worked, monitoring food preparation and serving, assisting in recording and maintaining accurate bookkeeping systems, assisting in inventorying all products on hand before prepaying a meat order, assisting Meat Manager in taking a four-week period meat inventory, ensuring that product is being rotated when received and stocked, ensuring that all meat coolers and meat cases are running at the proper temperature, ensuring that proper safety procedures are being used, and properly cleaning and maintaining meat department, coolers, cases and equipment.

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: No prior experience necessary

Physical demands include lifting/carrying, standing, walking, sitting, handling/fingering, reaching outward, reaching above shoulder, pushing/pulling.
