Houseperson

Job Description:

House Persons support the housekeeping department by maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of public areas and assisting with housekeeping operations.

Job Duties

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Clean and maintain public areas, including lobby, hallways, restrooms, and other common spaces;

Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain floors, carpets, and rugs;

Clean windows, mirrors, doors, walls, and other surfaces;

Remove trash and maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, including entrances and surrounding property;

Collect, transport, and organize soiled linens; assist with stocking and distributing clean linens and supplies;

Support room attendants by providing supplies and responding to requests during shifts;

Maintain housekeeping storage areas, equipment rooms, and work areas in a clean and organized condition;

Assist with setup and breakdown of meeting rooms or special events, as needed;

Perform light maintenance tasks, such as minor repairs or touch-up painting, as assigned;

Follow all safety and sanitation procedures and contribute to a safe work environment;

Assist other departments, including housekeeping and bar areas, as needed; and

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays as required;

Demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching;

Lifting, pushing, or pulling items up to 50 pounds regularly, and heavier items with assistance;

Use of cleaning equipment and supplies;

Working in indoor and outdoor environments and varying conditions.
