Strategy Lead

A client-facing, sales-oriented role embedded in business development and account strategy, not operational delivery. Pare&Co is an AI-native digital consultancy. We build websites,platforms, and digital products — and the intelligence inside them — forthe organizations people depend on most. The Strategy Lead makes Pare indispensable to clients as a key strategicpartner. You generate new ideas and solutions that drive commercialoutcomes by understanding client business models deeply, identifyingwhere Pare creates outsized value and translating strategic insightsinto executed plans that stick. You build solutions with our technologypartners that add value for our clients and improve the outcomes wedeliver. The role reports to the business unit’s Managing Director. As part of a cross-functional team, you are close enough to the work toknow what is actually happening inside an engagement, while seniorenough that your view of the relationship and conversations with theclient stay strategic. You are the person who turns a healthy projectinto a standing outcomes advisory relationship. Core responsibilities You develop strategic recommendations that uncover new revenuestreams, cost efficiencies or competitive positioning for clients,in support of the business unit. You work alongside the Managing Director, sales and delivery teams onhow Pare wins and expands accounts. You drive strategic client initiatives forward and own the agendawith your client portfolio. You support or lead quarterly business reviews across your portfolioand treat them as a strategy instrument — you use them to surfacewhat is changing in the client’s business and to put the nextinitiative on the table. You have proven experience reading how organizations actually work andearning a voice in the room. You are fluent in the concepts behindaccount mapping — the hard lines and the dotted ones — and you usethat fluency to work with the Managing Director in advocating forPare’s outcomes recommendations. You serve as a trusted idea generator to delivery staff, translatingstrategy into work delivery can execute, and you identify patternsacross the portfolio that signal market shifts or new service linesfor Pare. You strengthen Pare’s strategic point of view by identifying relevanttrends, developing thoughtful content, improving our approaches andtools, and sharing insights that connect our work to client andbusiness outcomes. You have proven experience working with SaaS partners in a commercialrole. You take the lead in building solutions jointly with technologypartners — solutions that exceed clients’ expectations and openopportunities for Pare and its partners. Time allocation This is a billable role. Target split: 50% billable client strategy work. Advisory engagements,discovery, QBRs and strategic initiatives inside active accounts. 35% business development. Pursuit strategy, proposals, pitches andpartner-sourced opportunities. 15% internal. Service line development, portfolio patternrecognition and enablement of sales and delivery. What we’re looking for You thrive on complexity and love solving problems. Ambiguity energizes you — you see it as a challenge to createentrepreneurial solutions. You have a commercial mindset: you thinkabout generating value for both clients and Pare. You understandbusiness model economics, move comfortably between strategy andimplementation, and spot opportunities others miss. You thrive oncreating new ideas and are not afraid to challenge the status quo. Required Three to seven years in strategy consulting, agency strategy,corporate strategy or senior client advisory (or equivalenteducational experience in consulting). You have been in the room wheredeals were won and lost, and you know why. Demonstrated commercial ownership. You have driven pursuits, writtenor led proposals and can point to revenue that exists because of workyou did. You can tell the difference between a client who needs a faster siteand a client who needs a different business model. You know what itcosts them to acquire a customer, where their margin lives and whichof our recommendations would actually show up on their P&L. Experience owning a client relationship at the VP and executive level,including running the recurring rhythm of that relationship. Ability to travel 25% of the time for in-person client and prospectengagement, about five days per month. Ability to run discovery with executive stakeholders and leave with apoint of view rather than a summary. You form a recommendation anddefend it. You thrive on driving action in the room. Clear written and verbal communication that works for both CMO and CFOaudiences. Enough technical fluency in digital experience — CMS, martech, dataarchitecture, personalization, search and AI visibility — to becredible with delivery teams and credible with clients. Preferred Experience in regulated or high-consideration industries: healthcare,financial services, pharma and higher education. Experience productizing a service line, including pricing andpackaging — thinking entrepreneurially is essential. Work inside a technology partner ecosystem where co-sell relationshipsmattered. You view partner collaboration as a value-generatingactivity for customers, Pare and its partners. Vertical depth in one of our core markets that we can build a practicearound. What this role is not It is not a brand strategist, campaign planner or BDR role. It is not aresearcher who produces a deck and hands off, and it is not forsomeone who needs a fully formed brief before they can start. SEO, GEO and AI skills are welcome and can drive strategicrecommendations, but this is not an analyst role. It is not delivery leadership. Execution, staffing and margin staywith our delivery organization. The Strategy Lead is close to the workbut does not run it.
