Overview
Registered Nurse – OB/Antepartum/Postpartum in Hanford, CA. This travel temporary assignment begins June 22, 2026 and runs for 13 weeks on a nights schedule (3x12-hour shifts). Weekly pay ranges from $2,320 to $2,399 per week with no guaranteed hours. This role supports antepartum/antenatal and postpartum/postnatal care in an obstetric-focused unit where labor and delivery are not included and gynecology patients are excluded. The assignment involves coordinating care for maternity patients and healthy newborns in a hospital setting, with supervision of care provided by various levels of nursing staff and collaboration with the broader care team.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for antepartum/antenatal and postpartum/postnatal patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; monitor vital signs and laboratory values; administer medications as ordered and document thoroughly.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians, midwives, and other disciplines; exercise independent judgment as needed.
- Support normal newborn care, provide patient and family education, and assist with discharge planning and follow-up needs.
- Ensure patient safety and infection control practices; participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care coordination to optimize outcomes.

Requirements
- Active RN license (as applicable to practice in the assignment location)
- Ability to provide care in an obstetric setting, specifically antepartum/antenatal and postpartum/postnatal care
- Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and effective communication; able to supervise and coordinate with the care team
- Availability for a 13-week travel assignment starting 06/22/2026 with night shift commitments
- Relevant obstetric care experience is preferred
