Responsibilities
- Implement, under supervision of a licensed physical therapist, treatment plans including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility activities for residents.
- Assist residents with transfers, positioning, and daily living activities to promote safety and independence.
- Document treatment sessions, progress, and any changes in status according to facility policies and electronic record requirements.
- Monitor resident response to therapy, report concerns to the supervising PT, and collaborate with the rehab and nursing teams to adjust plans as needed.
- Maintain therapy equipment and ensure infection control and safety standards are observed during all procedures.
- Communicate professionally with residents and families, supporting goal-directed care and continuity of care across shifts.

Requirements
- Ability to perform PTA duties under PT supervision in a long-term care setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with interdisciplinary care staff.
- Proficiency in documenting therapy sessions and progress notes accurately.
- Physical ability to assist with transfers, gait training, and daily activities as part of therapy sessions.
- Availability to work the scheduled 36 hours per week on daytime shifts.
