Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Overview RISE Pediatric Therapies is a growing organization that provides support to families of children birth to three years of age with disabilities or special developmental needs, helping them to build on their child\'s strengths, and to enhance and promote the child\'s growth, development and learning skills in their natural environment. We are seeking Pediatric Occupational Therapist to hire as independent contractors. Responsibilities Provide evaluations, assessments, and ongoing therapy for children birth to three years of age. Work as part of a comprehensive multidisciplinary core team to provide screenings, assessments, planning, and ongoing services in collaboration with the child\'s family, medical providers and other community representatives. Participate in a variety of meetings, including Core Team meetings, one-on-one family sessions, and Individual Family Service Plan meetings. Deliver services in the child\'s natural environment (typically home, daycare, park, etc.) and in the context of the family\'s routines to ensure information is meaningful and directly relevant to supporting the child. Maintain a flexible schedule and be willing to work evenings or weekends as needed for service provision, and travel to attend meetings and training. Provide services in and around Phoenix and/or east valley cities as required. Qualifications Must possess a Master\'s Degree in Occupational Therapy. In-home and clinical setting occupational therapy experience required; pediatric experience is preferred. Completion of the AzEIP standards of practice for Early Interventionists within three years of start date; demonstrable knowledge of AzEIP Policies and Procedures and Team Based Model. Meet all prescribed professional requirements and rules of professional conduct as an Occupational Therapist, including applicable licensure. Candidates must pass background clearance. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus but not required. Notes Important Notes on Continuing Education: If employed as a licensed, registered, and certified professional Occupational Therapist, the practitioner shall complete the continuing education units required to maintain professional credentialing.
