Job Requirements

• ExperienceRequired: 3 to 5years
• Experience Desired:Thermo King a plus; Refrigerant R-404A Certification a plus;Compressed Natural Gas of Equipment a plus; PreventativeMaintenance/Repair work on Tractors required; Must have own handand power tools; Two to five years experience on class 8vehicles
• Education Desired:High school diploma orequivalent
• Certification orLicensing Required: Brake Certifications; PA Class 3, 4 or 7Inspection; Tractor/Trailer Inspections; Valid Driver'sLicense
• Certification orLicensing Desired: Valid Class ACDL
• Lifting Requirement: Upto 100pounds

JobResponsibilities

• Respond toroad calls by utilizing fleet repair trucks or towservice.
• Install, replaceand/or repair refrigerants, ventilation systems, brakes, engines,clutches, transmissions, starters, alternators, batteries, etc. asneeded.
• Operate equipmentin accordance with all safetyparameters.
• Create andenter data for work orders and check sheets on work being performedto include posting of parts corresponding with fleet maintenancesoftware.
• Keep work areasafe and clean.
• Checkequipment repair history and perform data input for systemupgrades.
• Performpreventative maintenance on all commercial fleet vehicles andservice trucks to Department of Transportationspecifications.
• Performpreventative maintenance on all tractors to include changing theoil, checking the filters, grease all fittings, checking all hoses,visually inspect the engine and tighten allbolts.
• Perform preventativemaintenance on all trailers, including lubing trailer joints,checking the doors, checking the exterior and repairing the rivetsand sides as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on diesel, CNG and commercial ltractor trailer trucks, gasoline service trucks andvans.
• Review job orders anddiagnose equipment to determine malfunctions and plan workprocedures.
• Use hand, powerand pneumatic tools and testing instruments to repair and maintainequipment andvehicles
• Examine protectiveguards and bolts and inspect safety devices on trucks and trailersin order to make adjustments asneeded.
• Test drive repairedtractor trailer trucks or service equipment in order to verifycompliance with Department of Transportationspecifications.
• PerformDepartment of Transportation inspections on tractors andtrailers.
• Perform stateinspections on tractors andtrailers.
• Performmiscellaneous duties asassigned.
