About the Role We are seeking a qualified and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2026/2027 school year. In this role, you will provide speech-language services to students with a variety of communication needs, helping them achieve academic, social, and functional success within the educational environment. You will work collaboratively with educators, families, and related service providers as part of a multidisciplinary special education team. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in accordance with IDEA, South Carolina Department of Education regulations, and district procedures. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on assessment findings and student needs. Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to eligible students. Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, progress reports, and Medicaid billing documentation as required. Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to support student success. Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings. Utilize evidence-based practices and a variety of therapeutic approaches, including AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) when appropriate. Support inclusive educational practices and provide consultation to school personnel regarding communication strategies. Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to maximize outcomes. Qualifications Required Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program. Active South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist License issued by the South Carolina Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, or eligibility for licensure. South Carolina Department of Education Certification as a Speech-Language Therapist (or eligibility for certification). Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Previous experience working in a school setting. Experience with IEP development and implementation. Familiarity with Medicaid billing and compliance requirements. Experience serving diverse student populations and varying disability categories.
