Mechanical Designer (MEP) – Raleigh, NC
We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to support the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and healthcare projects. This role collaborates with engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality construction documents.
Responsibilities:
- Develop HVAC and plumbing system layouts using CAD/BIM software
- Prepare construction drawings, schedules, and details
- Perform load calculations and equipment sizing
- Coordinate designs with electrical, structural, and architectural teams
- Review submittals and assist during construction administration
- Ensure designs comply with codes and project requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- EIT or PE preferred but not required
- 2-20 years of MEP design experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Familiarity with HVAC load calculation software
- Knowledge of building codes and industry standards
- Strong communication and organizational skills
