This role is critical to ensuring data is discoverable, reliable, compliant, and traceable, supporting both business and regulatory requirements.Summary of the RoleThe Data Catalog & Lineage Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operationalizing metadata management and data lineage solutions. The role requires hands-on expertise in Collibra, along with strong knowledge of AWS-based data architectures, Snowflake, and relational databases.This position will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, governance, and business stakeholders, to embed data governance practices and enable end-to-end visibility into data flows.Your RoleLead the design and implementation of enterprise data catalog and lineage solutions using CollibraDevelop and maintain metadata management frameworks and standards across the organizationEnable end-to-end data lineage across cloud and on-premise systemsCollaborate with business and technical teams to ensure data is discoverable, trusted, and compliantDrive adoption of data governance frameworks and best practicesIdentify and classify PII (Personally Identifiable Information) and ensure compliance with data protection policiesIntegrate metadata and lineage capabilities into AWS-based data platforms and Snowflake environmentsSupport data quality, data stewardship, and regulatory reporting initiativesProvide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams on data governance and lineage strategiesRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong hands-on experience with Collibra (Data Catalog & Lineage modules)Solid understanding of data governance frameworks and best practicesExperience with AWS data architecture (e.g., S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, etc.)Expertise in Snowflake and relational databasesProven experience in implementing data lineage and metadata management solutionsAbility to identify and manage PII and sensitive data elementsStrong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data integrationExperience working in cross-functional and enterprise environmentsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience in large-scale data governance transformationsFamiliarity with regulatory requirements related to data privacy and complianceCertifications in Collibra, AWS, or Data Governance (preferred but not mandatory)The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$86,000 to $203.000.Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
