West River Mental Health currently has Full-Time and Part-Time Behavioral Health Technician positions available with our Pivot Point and Transitional Services programs.

Starting pay is $21.40 per hour, with an additional $2.00 per hour overnight differential and $2.00 per hour weekend differential.

About the Position

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will work directly with individuals receiving services through Pivot Point and Transitional Services . At Pivot Point, you will help support individuals as they enter services and work toward stabilization. You will assist in creating and maintaining an environment that is client-driven, recovery-oriented, and focused on meaningful outcomes . Within Transitional Services, you will help support individuals living in a structured group setting as they build the skills, confidence, and independence needed to successfully transition back into the community. This is a hands-on role where every day brings the opportunity to connect with people, provide encouragement, and support individuals as they take important steps toward recovery and independence.

What You'll Do

Depending on program needs, responsibilities may include:

• Supporting individuals entering services and assisting with the screening and referral process
• Gathering information to help connect clients with the appropriate level of care
• Assisting clients with immediate needs related to comfort, nutrition, and stabilization
• Supporting clients in completing tasks and goals related to their individualized stabilization plans
• Completing PBTs, UAs, and other testing as directed by established protocols
• Helping maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment
• Providing guidance, encouragement, and support to individuals throughout their recovery journey
• Supporting clients living in a group home or transitional setting
• Assisting individuals in developing daily living skills, routines, structure, and independence
• Helping clients build the skills and confidence needed to transition successfully into independent community living
• Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating relevant information with the treatment team
• Working collaboratively with other professionals to provide coordinated, person-centered care

Education & Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent .

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience working in a human services, healthcare, behavioral health, or related field
• An Associate's degree in social sciences or a human services-related field with relevant experience
• A Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field and relevant experience
