Industrial Electrician | Wayland, MI

Salary Range: $62,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Wayland that are seeking Industrial Electricians. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in a manufacturing environment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions using various testing devices.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Calibrate and adjust electrical equipment and machinery for performance optimization.
• Document all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and production teams to minimize downtime.

Recommended Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of PLC systems and motor controls.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E and other relevant safety standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with robotics and automated systems.
• PLC programming proficiency (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000).
• Arc Flash safety training and experience with NFPA 70E standards.
• Certification or experience with high-voltage systems (e.g., up to 480V, 4160V).
• Experience with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).
