Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Day Shift

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Schedule is typically 7 days on / 7 days off, alternating 36 and 48 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across an 11-bed Main ED, 6-bed Fast Track, and 7-bed Observation Unit, rotating through each area regularly
• Perform triage, quick registration, entry screening, and coverage in designated COVID-related areas as needed
• Adapt to daily and mid-shift area reassignments based on patient volume and unit needs
• Assist with COVID testing and/or immunization clinics as assigned
• Float to other departments when qualified, including taking patient loads or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in Emergency Room nursing
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification
• PALS or ENPC certification
• TNCC certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume or multi-area emergency department setting
• Comfort with frequent reassignments and flexibility across varied ED environments
• Prior travel nursing experience, particularly as a returning traveler to this region
