Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe Lead Security OfficerIt is the responsibility of the Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe Lead Security Officer to perform all the duties and responsibilities of a Security Officer, as well as the supervision and training of officers and performing basic and advanced security functions and Guest Services for Golden Nugget/Landry's Inc. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).ResponsibilitiesLeadership Organizational Skills Training and EducationAssist management and supervise direct training of new security employees.Assist the management team in supervision of Security Officers.Assist management with administrative duties.Assist management with supervisory duties during emergency situations.Provide training to other members of the security departmentProvide training to other members of the CompanySUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Security OfficersQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate.Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality resultsAbility to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management and line-level employees.Above average knowledge and experience in Microsoft Windows and Office applications required.Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Ability to understand questions and instructions from management.Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents in English.Ability to properly respond to common inquiries from employees or guests.Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.Ability to properly react rationally to high stress situations while maintaining a calm demeanor.Working knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies and procedures.Advanced knowledge of state and local laws and how to apply them.Ability to properly use security equipment such as two-way radio, handcuffs, etc.Must successfully complete American Red Cross or Equivalent CPR certification: Minimum age requirement is 21.*PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A GAMING LICENSE BY THE NEVADA GAMING CONTROL BOARDEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or equivalent.Two or more years of experience in military, law enforcement or gaming security or experience in any of the listed security disciplines, within a hotel/casino preferred.Two or more years of customer service experience preferred.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Basic math skills.Language Skills:Must be able to speak and understand English.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.Ability to sit for extended periods of time.Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.Frequently stooping, reaching.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.Work with others in close spaces.Moderate to high noise levels.Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.#GNLT Pay Range USD $20.50 - USD $21.50 /Hr.
