VMware SME-Consultant
Location: Remote, but must be open to traveling in to New Haven, CT a few days per month (Travel paid).
Duration: 3-6 Months contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Target Pay Rate: $85-90/hr.
Seeking a VMware SME to lead the deployment of a new VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.1 environment. This resource will provide hands-on implementation, architecture guidance, and best-practice recommendations across virtualization, automation, server infrastructure, and storage.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the installation, configuration, and deployment of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.1.
- Provide VMware architecture guidance and infrastructure best practices.
- Support Dell server infrastructure and Dell SAN storage design, deployment, and optimization.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions using Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, Packer, and HashiCorp Vault.
- Assist with infrastructure sizing, performance tuning, capacity planning, and operational readiness.
- Create technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to staff.
