About Us Pet Foodie LA is a premium pet supply boutique and luxury grooming salon in Santa Monica. We're not your average grooming shop we offer a spa-style experience for dogs, and our clients expect the best. Our facility is clean, well-equipped, and designed to make both groomers and dogs feel comfortable. We're a small, passionate team with high standards and a genuine love for animals.

Our salon was designed with both groomers and dogs in mind Venetian plaster walls, warm natural-toned lighting (no fluorescents), and a calm, quiet floor plan that makes the day feel less like a shift and more like working in a space that respects the craft.

The Role We're looking for a skilled, experienced dog groomer who takes pride in their craft. You'll work with a loyal and growing clientele, handling everything from breed-standard cuts to creative styling all in a boutique environment where quality always comes before volume. Our salon is supported by a dedicated bathing team, so you can focus your time and energy on the cut and finish.

What You'll Do

• Groom dogs of all breeds, sizes, and coat types to breed standard or owner preference
• Perform bathing, drying, clipping, scissoring, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and finishing
• Work alongside our bathing team bathers handle most of the bath, dry, and prep work and hand the dog off to you table-ready, though you'll occasionally bathe your own dogs as needed
• Assess each dog's coat condition and temperament and adjust your approach accordingly
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients about their dog's groom and any concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
• Handle dogs safely and with patience and care throughout the grooming process

What We're Looking For

• Proven hands-on grooming experience certification not required, but your work should speak for itself
• 6+ years of professional grooming experience (this is firm)
• Confident working with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
• Strong scissoring and finishing skills
• A calm, patient demeanor with dogs (and people)
• Reliable, professional, and detail-obsessed
• Someone who takes pride in every single groom, not just the easy ones
