Product Development Engineering Technician 2

Roles & Responsibilities

Operate injection molding machines, including machine startup and shutdown.
Load molding programs and make minor process adjustments to improve part quality.
Monitor molded part quality and identify defects.
Perform trimming, sanding, deburring, assembly, polishing, and finishing of prototype parts.
Operate and troubleshoot 3D printing equipment and print builds.
Perform post-processing activities for 3D printed components.
Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauge pins for dimensional verification.
Handle molding materials, dryers, moisture analyzers, and related lab equipment.
Support mold changeovers and machine setup activities.
Maintain laboratory supplies, equipment, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Package, label, and ship prototype parts to customers.
Follow laboratory procedures, safety standards, and quality guidelines.
Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to support prototype development projects.

Experience Required

1-5 years of experience in injection molding, plastics, machine operation, or 3D printing preferred.
Experience in prototype manufacturing or lab environments preferred.
Familiarity with hands-on troubleshooting and machine operation.
Experience with CAD software and Microsoft Office programs preferred.
Exposure to 3D printing technologies such as SLA, DLP, PolyJet, or FFF is a plus.
