Manager, Operations

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks an operations manager to oversee sterile formulation and filling activities at a Greenville, North Carolina manufacturing facility. The role involves leading production teams, ensuring GMP compliance, and driving operational excellence across a 12-hour shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day sterile formulation and filling operations to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets
• Provide direction, coaching, and development to supervisors and production personnel
• Ensure GMP compliance and manufacturing safety standards across all operations
• Review and approve batch records, investigations, procedures, and change controls
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and resolve operational deviations with cross-functional teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Operations
• 5+ years pharmaceutical manufacturing operations experience preferred
• 2+ years leadership experience managing manufacturing teams
• Strong GMP manufacturing and quality systems knowledge
• Experience with aseptic filling, formulation, or sterile manufacturing preferred
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodology experience preferred
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
