Job Overview

Maintain multi-state payroll by collecting, calculating, and entering data into the payroll system using Viewpoint Vista software. Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly payroll taxes. Process and maintain copies of employee time off request, timecard forms, reimbursements, raises, and bonuses. Manage weekly payroll items including benefit changes, tax updates, and other compensations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Process the weekly multi-state payroll for both salary and hourly employees.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly payroll taxes.
• Process benefit changes in payroll.
• Submit 401k contributions and HSA contributions. (Weekly)
• Verifications of employment as needed.
• Set up garnishments (ex. Child support) as needed.
• State new hire reporting. (As needed)
• Process employee time off request, reimbursements, raises, and bonuses.
• Manage the payroll section of the employee portal and give timecard access to employees who enter timecards. (Weekly)
• Create and pull custom reports for the executive team, office team, or for auditing purposes. (Weekly)
• Update the payroll system's tax rates. (Yearly)
• Process W2s and assist the CFO with I9s. (Yearly)
• Create and present timecard training documents to new employees when needed. (As needed)
• Any additional tasks and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• 4-10 years of experience in payroll. We are willing to train the right person.
• Advanced excel and math skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Independent problem solving skills
• Organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Associate degree in related field preferred

• Understanding of benefits and compensation laws and regulations
• Experience with Viewpoint Vista software
• Basic Spanish
