Daylight shift schedule: MondayFriday | 7:00 AM 4:00 PM Pay: Based on experience level Employment type: Contract-to-hire Tops Staffing is hiring a CNC machine operator for an exciting new manufacturing division with a well-established local company. The company recently purchased a new facility and invested in brand-new equipment to support this growing operation. This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a newly created department. The supervisor has already been hired, and this position will be the second team member added. The long-term plan is to grow the department into a team of 35 employees as production expands.

Position Overview

This role will operate a CNC-controlled production machine used to manufacture custom products. Previous experience with the specific equipment is not required. We are seeking candidates with CNC machine operation experience, strong measuring skills, and the ability to learn new equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC-controlled production equipment
• Read work orders, drawings, and production specifications
• Verify dimensions using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools
• Load materials and monitor machine performance during production runs
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
• Make basic machine adjustments and report issues as needed
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe

Qualifications

Previous CNC machine operation experience required Strong measuring skills and ability to read a tape measure accurately Experience using calipers and other measuring devices preferred Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new equipment quickly Ability to work independently and stay organized Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Manufacturing experience preferred
