Location: Barnwell, SC Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: 8-hour(Day Shift), Overtime Available Work Setting: On-site About the Role Barnwell Tissue Solutions is seeking an experienced Millwright to support and maintain our plant’s mechanical equipment, ensuring it operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and installing equipment in a high-performance manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Work as part of a collaborative maintenance team across multiple trades. Troubleshoot, repair, and install pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, piping, hydraulics, and other plant equipment. Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks. Read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals. Use rigging and lifting equipment to position heavy machinery and components. Align gears, shafts, and belts to exact tolerances. Inspect, service, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Collaborate with operations, vendors, and leadership to solve technical challenges. Maintain accurate documentation for parts, materials, and maintenance activities. Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Participate in special projects as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 10 years of industrial maintenance experience. Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude. Experience with large-scale equipment: pumps, gearboxes, piping, hydraulics. Proficient in reading P&ID drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Experience across multiple trades a plus (electrical, pipefitting, welding). Familiarity with PLCs is preferred. NCCER Certified is a plus. Valid driver’s license. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Team-oriented, reliable, and safety-focused. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 30 lbs. frequently. Climb ladders, stairs, bend, crouch, twist, push/pull, and work at heights. Use hand tools and operate machinery.
