Job Description

  • Tailor Treatment Approaches: Assess patient needs to develop personalized therapy strategies that help them achieve their functional aspirations
  • Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Employ research-based methods to improve patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and daily living skills
  • Collaborate with a Multidisciplinary Team: Team up with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses for a comprehensive, patient-focused approach
  • Educate Patients and Families: Guide patients and caregivers in therapy practices to ensure ongoing progress outside of sessions
  • Track and Document Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and adapt treatment plans to keep patients on their successful path

Education

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution
  • Encouraged participation in continuing education and post-graduate certifications

Certifications

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license required
  • NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification necessary
