As a Full-Time Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Tank's Recycling and Landfill, you will have the exciting opportunity to travel between various sites in Tucson, working on a diverse range of heavy equipment and machinery. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining essential equipment such as wood grinders, excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, and over-the-road commercial vehicles. This role not only allows you to hone your technical skills but also provides a dynamic work environment where each day presents new challenges. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficient operations of our landscaping and recycling services, making a tangible impact in the community while working with advanced machinery.

To excel as a Full-Time Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Tank's Recycling and Landfill, candidates must possess a robust skill set that aligns with the diverse machinery you will encounter. Experience with all types of construction equipment is essential, particularly high and low-speed grinders and recycling equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills in hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems are crucial for diagnosing and resolving issues effectively. Competency in welding, both stick and wire, as well as hard surfacing of wear parts, will further enhance your ability to maintain equipment to the highest standards.

Additionally, familiarity with onsite work in the field will be invaluable, ensuring you can adapt to various challenges while delivering reliable solutions. Your technical expertise will play a vital role in supporting our operations and maintaining the efficiency of essential machinery.

A Heavy Equipment Mechanic certification from CAT, John Deere, or an accredited trade school is required.
