Assistant Project Manager Multifamily Construction

Job Post Summary

Seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of a large ground up multifamily residential construction project. The role works closely with the Project Manager and field team to coordinate project activities, subcontractors, vendors, procurement, documentation, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls from startup through closeout.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail oriented, and experienced with commercial construction and multifamily residential projects.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

Assist with all phases of construction from project startup through closeout
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and owner representatives
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, contracts, and project documentation
Assist with procurement, budgeting, cost tracking, and monthly requisitions
Monitor project schedules and project milestones
Work with field staff to resolve construction issues and support daily operations
Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and follow up action items
Maintain accurate project records using Procore and construction management software
Support project safety, schedule, budget, quality, and overall project execution

Qualifications and Certifications

5 to 7 plus years of commercial construction experience
Strong ground up multifamily residential construction experience
Experience with projects involving 100 plus residential units strongly preferred
Knowledge of construction drawings and specifications
Understanding of scheduling, procurement, budgeting, and project controls
Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office
Strong communication and organizational skills
Strong problem solving and coordination abilities
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
