In our most recent culture survey, team members shared how much they value the supportive environment and the people they work alongside each day.A Surg Tech who excels in this role:Prepare the operating room by setting up instruments, equipment, sterile solutions, and supplies before procedures.Help prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and ensuring the surgical site is properly prepped.Maintain a sterile field at all times and uphold the highest standards of aseptic technique to prevent infection.Anticipate the surgeon's needs, passing instruments and supplies efficiently and safely throughout the procedure.Assist with tasks such as holding retractors, cutting sutures, handling specimens, and applying dressings as directed.Participate in pre- and post-procedure counts, room turnover, cleaning, and restocking to keep cases running smoothly.Support our culture of safety, quality, and teamwork while providing age-appropriate care to patients across the lifespan.We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. Minimum of 1-year Surg Tech experience is required.Additional requirements include:Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire & Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Surg Tech experience required.Preferred Experience: Total Joint procedures (hip, knee, and shoulder), Neuro Spine, robotic cases for General Surgery and OB, and cystoscopies.Havasu Regional Medical Center is a Joint Commission accredited, Medicare certified hospital located in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
