About the Role ABCD is accentedge’s foundational AI model for early detection and classification of cancer, demonstrating up to 93% accuracy across multi‑class tumor datasets. The Machine Learning Engineer trains, evaluates, and serves ABCD and downstream multiomics models in the cognitive core of the company. Key Responsibilities Train, fine‑tune, and evaluate the ABCD foundational model and downstream multiomics models. Build and maintain training and evaluation pipelines using cloud and on‑prem GPU resources. Implement feature extraction and deep‑learning architectures for pathology images and multiomics data. Collaborate with computational biologists to curate and version datasets across all six omics layers. Contribute to bias and drift monitoring and the evaluation harness. Required Qualifications MS/PhD or equivalent experience in ML, CS, or a quantitative field. 3+ years building and deploying ML models, including deep learning. Strong Python and ML framework skills (PyTorch or TensorFlow). Experience with GPU training and model evaluation methodology. Preferred Qualifications Experience with medical imaging, computational pathology, or genomics ML. Familiarity with foundation models and transfer learning. Exposure to regulated/clinical model validation. A Day in the Role Chicago‑based hybrid role in the quiet AI Development zone, with access to the shared on‑prem GPU pod, model war rooms, and the MLOPs/evaluation room; close adjacency to engineering and lab write‑up.
