Registered Nurse PACU

$1661.95/week -

Job Summary:

The PACU RN will provide specialized post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures, ensuring their stability and comfort. This role requires delivering high-quality, rapid response patient care in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patient conditions continuously to identify changes in vital signs and overall stability.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by the surgical and anesthesia teams.
  
  
• 
  Monitor and document patient responses, adjusting care plans accordingly.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate patient recovery and discharge planning.
  
  
• 
  Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to safety protocols to prevent infections.
  
  
• 
  Provide patient and family education regarding post-operative care and recovery processes.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Minimum of 2 years recent experience working in a PACU or related acute care setting.
  
  
• 
  Valid RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  
  
• 
  NIHSS certification preferred.
  
  
• 
  Proficient in using Cerner electronic health records.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends.
  
  
• 
  Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making skills.
