Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Step Down unit is responsible for providing care to patients with cardiac conditions who require continuous monitoring and treatment. This role involves working in a progressive care environment with a focus on patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Manage chest tubes, wound vacs, and perform EKGs as needed.
• Conduct bedside and hourly rounding with specific focus areas.
• Ensure communication with PCTs regarding patient needs.
• Apply, document, and acknowledge telemetry rhythm strips per shift.

Requirements:

• Valid ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience with cardiac medications, including Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips.
• Cardiac knowledge is preferred.
