Joining the company means being part of a dedicated team focused on quality, providing optimum service for the customer – our Boss – and creating products that make a difference in communities everywhere.The purpose of the Receiving Material Expeditor is to assist each department, their supervisors and other team members with delivering, storing and organizing all components necessary to meet production requirements (i.e. gaskets, flanges, hardware). The Receiving Material Expeditor position is located within the receiving team and additionally serves internal customers by keeping areas clean and free of obstructions and safety hazards.Essential FunctionsReceives, unloads, and moves material within or near the plant, yard or work siteReads material request(s) and/or follow oral instructions from Department Supervisors on which materials and/or containers to moveLoads and unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand and/or equipmentLoad and unloads material from delivery vehiclesConveys material to and from storage or work sites to designated area, using a hand truck, forklift or other equipmentSecures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination with the assistance of hand-operated crane or hoist, or signals crane or hoisting operators to move a load to a destination when neededLifts heavy objects by hand and/or power hoistCleans work area, machines, and equipment using a variety of products and/or equipmentLabels all material as required, including traceable items such as heat numbers, CE(v)'s, etc.Maintains clean and debris free plant yardAssists with loading and/or unloading full plate sheetsMaintains part numbers and labels on all material racks to assist with inventory trackingOperates computer for inventory and recording purposesMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsOther Duties:Performs other duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or Equivalent.Knowledge of various metal grades, thicknesses, sizes.Knowledge of computer programs to include but not limited to word, excel, label makers, etc.BenefitsBenefits include major medical (BCBS), Delta dental and vision, company sponsored basic life insurance and short-term disability.
