Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts | Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM | On-call required: approximately 10 days/month, including one weekend/month

Key Responsibilities

• Perform circulating duties in a cardiovascular operating room environment serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• Assist with a wide range of cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures including CABG, valve repairs/replacements, TAVR, VATS, Thoracotomy, and aortic aneurysm repair
• Utilize electronic health record systems and unit-specific equipment including PYXIS and EPIC
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend call coverage as scheduled
• Communicate effectively using SBAR methodology and collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact state license
• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Demonstrated circulating experience in a cardiovascular OR setting
• Ability to complete required pre-start compliance modules prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CNOR certification
• Scrub experience in a cardiovascular or thoracic surgical setting
• Familiarity with procedures such as Mitral Clip, Robotic Thoracic Surgery, Carotid Endarterectomy, and IABP insertion/removal
