Custodian

Job Overview Title: Custodian The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned. Roles & Responsibilities Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule. Perform hazardous waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping, receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste. Operate motorized cleaning equipment. Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area. Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor. Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at risk behavior of others and self. Work with others in a team. Perform repetitive tasks. Maintain a clean work area. Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules. Take direction and respond to supervision. Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co‑workers, managers, and customers. Fill in during staff shortages. Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items. Use proper personal protective equipment. Present a professional appearance and conduct. Understand customer service and satisfaction. Understand reporting systems and environmental impact. Qualifications Education and/or Experience: No specific education required; 3‑6 months training or experience preferred, or an equivalent combination. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license may be required. Completion of safety and task training certification. Forklift certification may be required. Skills: Bilingual a plus. Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willingness to share with team. Knowledge of upkeep and care of cleaning equipment. Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Physical Demands & Work Environment The physical demands described are representative of those required to perform the essential functions; reasonable accommodations may be provided. Employee must often sit and talk or listen, and lift or move up to 35 pounds. Compensation and Shift Shift: Sun‑Wed 6:00 pm–4:30 am, Sun‑Wed 8:00 pm–6:30 am, Thurs‑Sun 6:00 pm–4:30 am, Thurs‑Sun 8:00 pm–6:30 am. Pay: $15.00–$16.00 per hour.
