The facility runs Brown and Sharpe DCC CMMs across three models using PC-DMIS. Existing programs are in place but need operator-friendly revisions, and new programs will be developed as production demands grow.This is a hands-on, fully onsite role covering first-piece inspections, incoming vendor checks, and full assembly evaluations. As the team expands, this person will also take on a training role with incoming CMM operators, so the ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively matters as much as the technical skills.What the Job InvolvesWrite, revise, and maintain CMM programs in PC-DMIS across multiple Brown and Sharpe DCC unitsPerform first-piece inspections on CNC machining setups and incoming vendor partsConduct full assembly inspections including GD&T evaluation on complex componentsRevise existing programs to improve operator usability and overall efficiencyEvaluate current CMM equipment and provide recommendations on controller upgrades as neededTrain incoming CMM operators and support their development as they reach independenceOperate CMMs directly until additional operators are onboardedTroubleshoot programming and inspection issues and communicate findings to quality and production teamsMaintain accurate inspection records and documentationWhat They NeedHigh school diploma required; AAS degree or CMM programming certification preferred1–2+ years of PC-DMIS programming experience is a plusCalypso experience is a plusHands-on experience in metal fabrication, machining, or related manufacturing requiredDefense, military, or aerospace background strongly preferredITAR familiarity preferredProficient with manual metrology tools including micrometers, height gauges, and similar instrumentsExperience inspecting machined parts, castings, and assemblies with GD&T calloutsAble to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and troubleshoot without heavy directionCollaborative mindset with a genuine willingness to train others and keep learningUS citizen or green card holder required
