Position Details Job Title: Medical Technologist Location: 225 Williamson St., Elizabeth, NJ 07202 Department: Lab TRMC Facility: Trinitas Regional Medical Center Status: Part-Time Shift: Day Pay Range: $40.79 - $52.03 per hour Job Summary The Medical Technologist performs and monitors complex diagnostic laboratory testing to support clinical decision‑making and ensures compliance with regulatory standards. This role applies advanced technical expertise to analyze results and maintain high‑performance laboratory operations. Essential Functions Performs high‑complexity testing across assigned laboratory disciplines. Interprets and validates test results prior to release. Performs advanced instrument calibration and maintenance procedures. Investigates abnormal or inconsistent test results and determines root cause. Develops and monitors quality control and quality assurance processes. Reviews and updates standard operating procedures. Trains and mentors junior laboratory staff. Other duties and/or projects as assigned. Adheres to RWJ Organizational competencies and standards of behavior. Education Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science, biology, or a related field. Experience 1–3 years of experience performing moderate to high‑complexity laboratory testing. Licenses and Certification Certification by ASCP or ASCP‑eligible or AMT as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist.
