We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to provide onsite accounting leadership in Blue Springs, Missouri. This Long-term Contract position will help maintain smooth day-to-day financial operations, support a small accounting team, and keep reporting activities on track during an interim coverage period. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, a hands-on approach, and the ability to create stability in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities:
• Direct daily accounting activities and provide practical guidance to a small onsite team across core finance operations.
• Manage the month-end close cycle, ensuring entries are completed accurately and deadlines are achieved.
• Monitor general ledger activity, research discrepancies, and maintain reliable financial records.
• Prepare and review balance sheet and bank reconciliations to support accurate account balances.
• Contribute to financial reporting by organizing schedules, validating data, and assisting with supporting documentation.
• Partner with staff handling payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to resolve issues and keep workflows moving efficiently.
• Develop journal entries and analyze account activity to improve accuracy and strengthen overall accounting controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and introduce practical improvements that support consistency and efficiency.• Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or similar high-level accounting role within a hands-on environment.
• Strong background in month-end close, general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
• Demonstrated ability to complete bank reconciliations and investigate variances with accuracy.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis functions such as pivot tables and lookups.
• Prior experience using NetSuite in an accounting setting.
• Ability to lead effectively within a lean team while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day accounting tasks.
• Comfortable working fully onsite in Blue Springs, Missouri.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities.
