Quality Control TechA Quality Control Tech is responsible for the overall food safety and quality of baked goods produced in the plant. QC is primarily responsible for following processes & procedures built to ensure quality of all products. QC is responsible for complying with company and customer specification and governmental regulations. Additionally, collaboration with other departments is necessary to ensure the product is produced to the highest food safety and quality standard.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Inspecting individual packages on each line to ensure proper seals, clear & correct code dates and inspect the general appearance of each package.Record average package weights and bake loss at the end of the shifts.Record quality assurance reports for each line within each 1 hour time period.Maintain and use authority to put product on hold for further review by QC Manager.Measuring & recording the dimension, height, moisture and pH of baked cookies.Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area at all timesCommunicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contactsAccept and adapt easily to changeEnsure that all activities are consistent with Company Mission StatementOperate job-related equipment with or without an accommodationMeet physical demands of job with or without an accommodationPerform other duties as assignedRequirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and assigned task satisfactorily.
