Multi-Country Family History Manager

Job Title

Responsibilities

Ensure sufficient records with genealogical values in the countries to maintain a healthy supply of names for temple ordinances.

Manage genealogical record content prioritization, negotiation, acquisition, and publication.

Coordinates and builds relationships with local record custodians, community organizations, and partners across public, private, nonprofit, and commercial sectors.

Contributes to business objectives with a localized impact.

Communicate regularly and frequently with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Oversees day-to-day family history operations in assigned countries, with supervision and direction from higher-level managers.

Supports execution of global and area engagement plans in the assigned countries.

Responsible for FamilySearch operations in assigned countries, including resolving operational challenges and implementing improvements.

Helps maintain FamilySearch Center operations, equipment, and resources.

Supports the work of employees and service missionaries under guidance.

Assists in training local resources and volunteers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or related field.

Sound understanding and 5 years relevant work experience in Southeast Asian countries, particularly Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Pakistan.

Professional English communication skills, written and verbal.

Ability to establish relationships with organization, and government.

Excellent problem-solving, listening, project management, communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to organize and coordinate all details of event, with exceptional cross-organizational collaboration skills.

Experience managing contracts & business relationships.

Experience in understanding data to set goals and make plans.

Successful people management skills.
