Wolf Den Gaming is a local game store and community hub in Boerne, and we want our tournament scene to be the best in the Hill Country. We're looking for an organized, people-first Tournament Organizer to own our organized play: run events, grow attendance, and make every player want to come back next week. Grow the scene and you share in it: this role includes a quarterly bonus tied to tournament attendance growth.

What you'll do

Build the scene. Grow attendance for our weekly and monthly events across Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Lorcana, Riftbound, and other games we support. Figure out what players want, whether that's new formats, leagues, or casual nights, and turn it into events that fill seats. Learn regulars by name, welcome new players, and help turn first-timers into regulars. Track attendance and report on what's working.

Run great events. Plan and run tournaments from start to finish: setup, registration, pairings, rounds, and cleanup. Use organizer platforms such as Melee, Ravensburger Play Hub, and Pokémon's event tools to create events, report results, and keep our sanctioning in good standing. Keep events on time, fair, and welcoming, and handle rulings, disputes, and conduct issues calmly and consistently.

Handle prizing. Plan prize support within budget with the Store Manager, including store credit, promo cards, and sealed product. Track prize inventory, pay out accurately against posted structures, and keep clean records. Make sure publisher event kits and promos are ordered, received, and used as intended.

Promote. Keep the event calendar current. Create or coordinate social posts, in-store signage, and event pages. Gather player feedback and use it.

Support conventions. Help plan and staff Wolf Den tournaments at conventions and shows.

Support the store. Outside event hours, help with day-to-day store work such as register, customer service, and restocking, especially around prerelease and new-set launches.

What we're looking for

• Highly organized, able to juggle several events, games, and deadlines without dropping details
• Comfortable leading a room: friendly, confident, and fair under pressure
• Working knowledge of at least one major TCG we run, and willingness to learn the others
• Consistent evening and weekend availability, plus occasional convention weekends
• Honest and accurate with prize payouts, store credit, and product
• Comfortable with online tournament software, spreadsheets, and social media

Nice to have

• Judge certification or prior tournament organizing experience
• A track record of growing a community or event attendance
• Retail or customer service experience
