This is a full-time on-site role for a Warehouse Supervisor located in Syracuse, NY. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory control, and material handling. Key responsibilities include managing a team of staff, coordinating workflows, ensuring safety compliance, and optimizing the use of resources and equipment such as forklifts. The role requires hands-on participation, fostering a collaborative team environment while ensuring efficient operations.
- Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management and operational oversight
- Proficiency in shipping, receiving, and logistics processes
- Knowledge of material handling and inventory control procedures
- Experience with forklift operation and warehouse equipment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment
- Understanding of workplace safety standards and OSHA compliance
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in warehouse operations or logistics management are a plus
- Previous experience in the automotive or distribution industry is an advantage
