Senior Zoo Keeper/Wildlife Presenter

Based in the Swan Valley Perth, Western Australia, we are a Centre that has been established for over 20 years. Our primary focus is on mobile education where we travel to locations in WA with our animals for educational displays. WA Birds of Prey Centre/ Critters Up Close is looking for a full‑time Senior Zookeeper/Wildlife presenter to assist in the management of day‑to‑day operations of the Centre and conduct educational displays both at the Centre and on the road. Qualifications & Experience Ability to work in a fast‑paced and evolving environment Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar zoo industry role Extensive knowledge of husbandry for a wide selection of animals Experience in animal behaviour Experience in animal training and/or handling Reptile experience and ideally aquatics and Birds of Prey Experience designing enclosures and enrichment Knowledge of licensing, DBCA requirements and ZAA Ability to lead a team of people and report to management Willingness to learn on the job, share knowledge and help others Working with Children clearance Knowledge of OHS Fit and healthy Positive attitude and caring nature Availability to work weekends, public holidays and outside normal working hours Current driver’s licence Salary — based on experience Work eligibility — permitted to work permanently with no restrictions on hours Application Questions How many years’ experience do you have as a Zookeeper?
